原画の質感そのままに、お求めやすい太子サイズ（379㎜×288㎜）にて製作。お好みの額装をしていただけるよう、マット仕上げしたものをＯＰＰ包装してお届けします。 商品の売り上げはすべて帝国海軍ゆかりの神社への奉納活動に充てさせていただきます。 注：商品上には文字は乗りません 注：価格は送料込・税込です。 2020年7月21日～10月25日まで青森県立三沢航空科学館企画展として開催される「肖像 －序－ 菅野泰紀 鉛筆画の世界」でメイン展示される作品の複製画です。希望者には直筆サインを入れますので、DMでリクエストください。 「幽顕の域界 -駆逐艦 菊月-」 “The Border to the next world -Destroyer HIJMS Kikuzuki-” 「菊月」は睦月型駆逐艦の9番艦です。当初は「第三十一号駆逐艦」として計画され、竣工後の大正15（1928）年に「菊月」と改められました。 　日米戦開戦時、「菊月」の所属する第23駆逐隊は、グアム島攻略部隊の一翼を担いました。その後はラバウル方面、ラエとサラモアの各攻略作戦に参加し、アドミラルティ攻略作戦の支援任務に就きました。昭和17（1942）年、ツラギ攻略作戦中に米空母「ヨークタウン」から発進した艦載機の攻撃を受け損傷し12名が戦死、艦も浸水を食い止められず遂に力尽きました。 　翌年、ツラギを含むフロリダ諸島は米軍に奪還されました。沈没していた「菊月」は、米軍の手によって浮揚され徹底的な調査後に、艦体はそのまま海岸へ沈座放置されました。現在もソロモン諸島のフロリダ諸島を構成する島のひとつ、ンゲラスレ島(フロリダ島)にあるトウキョウ・ベイと呼ばれる湾内の海岸に座礁した状態となっています。 　本作品は、「菊月会」からのご依頼により制作したもので、トウキョウ・ベイにかつての姿を現した「菊月」を描いたものです。タイトルの「幽顕の域界」とは、あの世とこの世の境目という意味です。舞い飛ぶ蝶は現地に生息している（らしい）オオルリアゲハをモデルにしております。仏教では、蝶を魂の象徴として描かれることがあります。本作では12匹の蝶を戦没者12名の象徴とし、見上げる水兵を生存者の象徴としています。静謐な湾に浮かぶ「菊月」が、両者をつなぐ架け橋の存在としての意味を持っています。 The Kikuzuki was the 9th ship of the Mutsuki class. Began as “Destroyer no. 31, after completion in Taisho 15 (1928) she was named Kikuzuki. In the Pacific war against America Kikuzuki was part of the 23rd destroyer flotilla, and participated in the attack on Guam. Afterwards, she was in the attacks on Rabaul, Lae and Salamaua, and supported the attack on the Admiralties. In Showa 17 (1942) in the attack on Tulagi she was torpedoed by aircraft from the American carrier Yorktown, suffering 12 dead, and despite heroic efforts the crew was not able to stop the flooding. The next year, the Florida islands were lost to the Americans, the Americans salvaged the ship and investigated it, and left her near the shore. She lies today in Ghovana Bay on the island of Nggela Sule. (in Japanese Tokyo Bay) This work was created at the request of the Kikuzuki” association, she is drawn at anchor in Tokyo Bay (Ghovana Bay) the title of “Border to the next world”, means the line separating this world from the next. The Papilio Ulysses, or Blue Emperor butterfly inhabits here. In Buddhism, butterflies are very significant. The 12 butterflies fluttering the picture represent the souls of the 12 men lost on the Kikuzuki, the crew shown on deck are those who survived. Being shown at anchor in the calm water of the bay, she is a bridge for the crew crossing from this world into the next.
